Canada’s job market is rapidly changing and it’s essential that young Canadians have access to meaningful work from the start of their careers. That’s why our government is giving them the opportunity to do just that through the Canada Summer Jobs program. In fact, since 2015, the Government has doubled the number of jobs per year for students.
For many students, summertime is more than just a relaxing break from school—it’s when they are able to make money to help pay for their tuition. I am happy to announce that 308 new jobs have been created for students through Canada Summer Jobs this summer right here in Ottawa Centre.
By helping more young Canadians get paid, meaningful work experience, we can ensure they have a fair shot at success.
If you are a student between the ages of 15-30 I encourage you to visit Canada.ca/Canada-summer-jobs to find out who is hiring. For the first time you are able to search for employers by province/territory, municipality or postal code.
